London’s nightlife scene stretches from stand-up comedy to improv theatre, open-air cinema, drinking, eating and most options in between. One of the best and most guaranteed great nights will always involve live music, and whether you prefer the grandiose atmosphere of a concert hall or are content with sticky floors and the audience being louder than the performer, the city has got the sound to suit your soul.
The nights are lasting longer, the sun’s shining brighter and the temperatures are frankly kind of messing with our emotions – but we’re still holding out for a light and breezy summer to enjoy a view with our drink on some of these stunning rooftop London locales. With fantastic views over the city from every angle, you’d be forgiven for forgetting to go back down once the lights have gone out…
As part of the Europe-wide campaign, Museums at Night bursts into the lives of everyone across the UK from Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th May 2015, the weekend closest to International Museum Day on the 18th of May. Hundreds of museums, galleries, libraries and other cultural institutions up and down the country will be participating, with most of the capital’s taking part in not only opening late, but putting on special events to celebrate. From literary talks and concerts to behind-the-scenes tours, dance events and even some sleepovers, this is your chance to see exhibits, and indeed the city itself, from a different perspective. We’ve highlighted some of the events happening in London.
