For those looking for a musical masterclass, join jazz royalty at one of London’s oldest, and most distinguished jazz clubs, Ronnie Scotts. Kick off your New Year’s celebrations with an intimate evening of cocktails, canapés and the saxophony sounds of New Orleans, as you celebrate in serious style. Drink in the intoxicating surroundings, as you make a toast to the New Year, and to the greats who have passed through this institution in years gone by, from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Miles Davis, to The Beatles themselves.

4. Musical Masterpieces

If you’re looking for that big band experience, then make sure the Barbican makes the cut. With the biggest names in the business, join the London Concert Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra, for an unmissable evening exploring classical music at its best. As well as the traditional masterpieces, why not wander out of your comfort zone for a more modernistic take on musical appreciation, with an out of this world performance of Star Wars & Beyond or contemporary favourite The Sound of Musicals.
